Town Centre Master Planning is now underway, and public input is welcome. This process will create a long-term plan for all of Town Centre—that part of Woodridge that extends from Hawthorne Woods on the west side of Woodridge Drive east to Janes Avenue. The first Community Workshop on this will be held Wednesday, May 29, 7: p.m. at the Woodridge Park District Community Center, 2600 Center Drive. Everyone is welcome.
Relevant documents and maps can be found on the Town Centre Master Plan Site. The Village’s Comprehensive Plan, first done in 2007 and amended several times, can be viewed at the Library’s Reference Desk for more background. There is also a link to it on the Town Centre Site, but it is quite lengthy. |

Big Library Read: The One E-book Everyone is Reading |
|
Not to be confused with The Big Read, the Big Library Read is an initiative by Overdrive (the company behind Media On Demand) to have one book available to readers at all participating libraries to create a global library book club. The book they've chosen is The Four Corners of the Sky by Michael Malone. You can get the e-book from Media On Demand. We have unlimited copies available as a Kindle book, Adobe epub, Adobe PDF, and Overdrive Read. The book will be discussed on Overdrive's Facebook and Twitter pages.
